Stormy Sea: weaving the little blue basket WIP
Clearing out old posts I never actually published and came across these - too pretty to simply delete!
I'd started making something with the stormy seas kit we had in store last year - without any sort of plan. And then we ran out of raffia to make the kits, and I never finished the kit and hence this post sat in the doldrums of unpublished business...
Although it did go well with pieces from my little blue ceramics collection so that was nice.
I love work-in-progress photos: often they're more interesting than the finished product. Or maybe I'm just saying that because I started this basket, with our Stormy Seas basket/weaver starter pack last year when it was actually in stock...and I still haven't finished it!
Having said that, the Nutscene order really should arrive in the next few weeks and I think this kit will be back in the shop because it was quite popular and i think with even a tiny bit of project planning you could make a really good little bowl out of it! It contained Nutscene raffia in blue and teal, along with Jet coconut coir, indigo hemp twine and 50g of natural Madagascan raffia.
