're-specked' recycled cotton weaving yarn 50g
A recycled cotton yarn that is soft enough to weave or knit to wear? Yes!
Sourced on recent travels to Japan, 'Re-specked' is a light 4ply-ish weight yarn suited to those more discerning projects. A special scarf, woven sleeve top, an heirloom tapestry. This is a cotton yarn exuding a soft and delicate feel.
The cotton fibres are reclaimed from the industrial combing process and respun to create this fluffiness to touch. Dyed in a specific process called speck dyeing; a process of steaming capsule-like pigment onto the fibre lends the yarn a rich, vintage-like shades.
