Araliya Community is the women owned company that produces our coconut coir string range in a variety of vibrant colours.
This amazing group of women show how with determination and a little help, a fair trade industry can grow from a small idea. Now employed permanent part time, each member of Araliya owns a share of the company and contributes in all the company’s decisions.
The products sold by their company not only allow these women to earn an income but provide a network for social change and group discussion and also contributes to the Don Severino Fabriani Institute for hearing impaired.
